South of France

Hi – We are writing this from France! We have just visited a lovely place called ‘Bormes’ which is a small hill side village ten minutes from the sea with some stunning views and lots of lovely little cafe’s and restaurants. We camped near by last night and had far too much to drink and eat in the process! Our campervan went great on the way down from the UK and we stayed about 70 mph all the way (unlike our old VW camper who died 3 times on last years holiday!).

We took the motorway mostly as we travelled down here in one go and even though you have to pay the tolls its a easy lovely drive and the quality of the motorways is excellent! We will take a few days to come back so will take the ‘old roads’ home ant stop off to get some local wines and cheese! The french get very excited where ever we go as they havent seen a new ‘old’ VW before…….I lost count of the times I gave Danbury’s web address out! Its so easy to make friends when everyone loves your car!

We are going to Scotland this Christmas so will let you know how we get on as Peter wants to try white water rafting for the first time! Glad we had the heater fitted so I can watch him from the comfort of the camper! All the best – Susan.
